Parenting - Deuteronomy 6:4-7
It is easy to get distracted by the busyness of life and feel like we never have time for meaningful discussions with our kids. Today's verse is a great reminder that we don't have to seek the perfect moment or the perfect setting to teach our children, but rather we should use the natural rhythms of our margin. When we sit down for dinner, when we're driving in the car, when we lay them down for bed--it's in these small moments of everyday life that we can have the biggest impact.
PRAY: Dear Lord, we love you with all of our heart, soul, and might. Help us to keep your commands on our heart, and help us to teach these words to our children. I pray that we will begin to notice and take advantage of the small moments in the rhythms of our days so that we can lead them to know you and love you. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
