DIVINE DESIGN: As the only part of God’s creation that He made “in his own image” God blesses humankind and then commissions us to serve as His stewards over His beautiful new world. This call to subdue and exercise dominion over creation is the idea that we are to make the earth’s resources beneficial to ourselves and the environment in which we live in a productive and non-exploitive way. We are to care for God’s world as God’s servants in order to bring His blessing to all. We have a big job to do!

PRAY: Precious Lord and Creator, we give you praise and thanksgiving for the stunningly beautiful world you have made. Help us to take seriously the responsibility you have given us to steward all the resources you have made in a manner that brings blessing to all and glorifies your Holy Name! We need your wisdom and courage to do this well! AMEN
