Romans 12:12

Apr 12, 2024    Pastor Josh Lewis

Sometimes we hear good news and we’re excited about it, but as time goes on, our enthusiasm fades. Maybe we hit some bumps in the road, or have a relationship strain, and we nearly forget about the good thing altogether. I pray that we never treat the gospel message this way. It really is the best news ever to rejoice about! Christ is alive, and He has offered that same new life to us! The Apostle Paul encourages us, that even when we go through trials and tribulations, we can rest in the hope we have in Christ. Through patient endurance and constant prayer, God will see us through!

PASSAGE: Romans 12:12 - "Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer."

PAUSE: We are a little over a week out from Easter. Where is your heart? Are you hopeful or doubtful? Are you joyful or sad? Are you patient or hurried? The Apostle Paul encouraged us to rejoice in hope solely because of Christ. Christ is our Living Hope; He is our anchor! Let’s continue to rejoice in our hope.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I rejoice in hope. I am so thankful that I have a living hope because of the resurrection. Help me to remain constant in prayer.
