Deuteronomy 31:8

I don’t know about you, but I always feel better about going into a situation when I have somebody by my side. As the youngest of my siblings, it was always nice to have one of my brothers with me on a sports team. Or when I entered middle school and high school, it was nice to have someone by my side that gave me a little bit of extra courage in a new place. If you ever feel scared in a situation, I want you to know that you are never truly alone. There isn’t a single moment that goes by where God isn’t by your side—ready to provide you with His strength and comfort. Recognize the ally that’s always by your side, and let that truth drive out any thoughts of fear or insecurity!

PASSAGE: Deuteronomy 31:8 - "It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”

PAUSE: When Moses passed the baton to Joshua, he knew that being the leader was a lonely endeavor. He reminds Joshua and he reminds us that God will never, yes never, leave you or forsake you. The God Almighty is our ally. 

PRAYER: Father, forgive me for the times that I doubt your presence in my life. Help me to trust that you are always by my side! You are my Mighty Warrior, and your presence surrounds me with your love. Thank you for being there.
