Ephesians 6:9

Satan and his minions are our real enemy, and they are constantly on the attack. Satan is a liar, so he whispers lies to us. Satan is a deceiver, so he attempts to distort reality to us. Satan is the accuser, so he bombards us with false guilt and shame. What if we got serious about believing that Satan is our real enemy, not other people? The good news is that God has equipped us for battle with the armor of truth to counter Satan’s lies. He has infused us with a faith that grows as we trust Him. God has given us the Sword of the Spirit which is His Living Word which provides us with wisdom & power for the battle. By the way, in the end, God wins! 

PASSAGE: Ephesians 6:12 - "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places."

PAUSE: Paul told the church in Ephesus that the real battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Because of this real battle, we are to stand strong and put on the armor of God.

PRAYER: Christ Jesus, thank you for the spiritual armor that you have blessed me with, grant me the wisdom to take up this armor every day and to pray!
