Romans 1:19-20

PASSAGE: Romans 1:19-20 - "For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse."

PAUSE: Like a beautiful work of art reveals the amazing giftedness of the artist, so also, the beauty, majesty and order of creation reveals the Creator! The very design of the universe points all people to the existence of God, and as a result, all of humanity is accountable before God. We can deny the witness of “the heavens declaring the glory of God, and the sky above proclaiming His handiwork” (Psalm 19:1), but our denial places us under God’s judgment. The proper response is for us to bow down and worship such an awesome Creator God! And then to follow the general revelation that God gives us in His creation to the further revelation He has given to us through His Word and His Son. So, the next time you are enjoying creation don’t worship mother nature, worship Father God! 

PRAYER: Creator God, I praise and worship You. I see the evidence of Your existence when I gaze at the wonder of Your creation. Amen
