Uganda

Water is the foundation of life. It promotes health and hygiene, as well as development. As many as 2.4 billion people in the world lack access to clean water. This leads to almost 1 million deaths per year from water borne diseases. Many of these deaths could be avoided with improved access to clean drinking water. In the case of Uganda, still, there are over 24 million people who lack access to clean and safe drinking water.

The Chapel has partnered with Living Water International for several short-term mission trips to Central America. Now, the Chapel is offering an opportunity to drill a well in Uganda, Africa with LWI.

This is a seven day trip to Uganda, in which our team will assist in drilling a water well in a rural community. In addition to drilling a well to satisfy the physical thirst of the villagers, the Chapel team will be able to share the “living water” of Jesus Christ with community members. We will share Bible stories, drill a well, share the gospel, and play with the children of the village to build relationships. This opportunity is appropriate for individuals of all ages. The Chapel prefers to send a team of 8-12 people. If you are interested and/or wish to discuss the trip in more detail, feel free to contact [email protected].
