Luke 19:20-21

God actually does have a kingdom plan for each of our lives. Plans to do his work through us. Plans to use our gifts, our past, our experiences, our passions to pour into the lives of others! But many of us have too many of our own plans, plans that are out of sync with his! So, out of fear or selfishness or laziness we waste our Christian lives on earthly pursuits and even fleshly desires. We take our mina and hide it in a handkerchief. For those in this camp there will be a sense of loss and regret at the judgement seat of Christ. Maybe today is your wake-up call. Maybe today the real adventure begins as you move from wasting your life to surrendering your life to Jesus.

PRAY: Lord, the warning of loss at the judgement seat of Christ is sobering! Forgive me for time wasted! I’ve had it all backwards. I thought you existed to serve me, but you have saved me in order for me to serve you. Today I’m ready to change course. Today I move from passive fear to risk-taking faith. Today I choose to invest all of my life to be spend for your purposes & glory. Thank You Jesus! Amen.
