John 11:27

The matter of eternal life hinges on something very simple. It DOES NOT hinge on how good or bad we have been. It does not hinge on how many great things we've done to make up for our mistakes. Eternal life hinges on a response. A response to the very question that Jesus asked Martha, "Do you believe...?" Do you believe... that Jesus is the resurrection and the life. That all who believe in Him, though we die in this life, we will live again. Jesus asked Martha this question, and she responded, "Yes, Lord. I believe." Jesus is asking us all this same question. What is your response?

PASSAGE: John 11:27 - "She said to him, “Yes, Lord; I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who is coming into the world."

PAUSE: What do you believe? Martha was confident and boldly proclaimed that Jesus was the Christ (the Messiah), and that Jesus was the Son of God, who had been promised in the Old Testament. The goal of this series is for all of us to boldly proclaim that we believe in Jesus Christ as our Savior. PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank you for the Gospel, thank you for the gift of salvation, for eternal life, the promises of life, and the resurrection to come!
