John 14:3

The grand prize of heaven is not the streets of gold, not the grand mansion, not even the reunion with loved ones. The grand prize of heaven is Jesus! Of our being with Jesus! Face to face with our loving Lord, rescuer, and redeemer forever! But it strikes me, if I don’t enjoy drawing near to Jesus now. If Jesus is just a means to other ends for me on this side of heaven. Then maybe the grand prize of Jesus in heaven will not seem like that big of a deal. Friend, this needs to change!

PRAY: Lord Jesus, forgive me that when I think of heaven, I do not automatically think of you! Lord, I want to be on a journey of knowing you and loving you more deeply now so that knowing you and loving you in heaven will be thing I long for the most! Jesus, be my consuming passion! Amen.
