Colossians 4:2

Jul 25, 2023    Pastor Mike Fanning

Let me ask you a question. Do you have a plan and pattern for your times of prayer with God? One of the secrets to success in a vital prayer life is to have a set time and place in which you meet with God! A time that is etched in stone on your weekly calendar. A time that can be as free as possible from interruptions and distractions. If you keep a calendar, this regular meeting with God must be designated on it so that other things do not crowd it out. Consider it a sacred meeting to be protected at all costs. And then we must find the right place to meet with God. Jesus often got away to “lonely places” to meet with the Father. Where is your quiet place where you can go and be with God, be real with God? A place where you won’t be interrupted? For some it’s the office, or the car, or a walk outside. I once read that Charles Wesley’s mom, who had 10 children, would pull her apron over her head, and the children knew not to bother mom till the apron came down!
