John 6:40

The will of the Father — in other words, His desire for us. Just pause and think about this verse for a minute—how powerful is that! The God of all creation desires you, yes YOU, to spend eternity with Him! His invitation is open to all, and made so simple that all it takes is trusting His Son—God himself who took on flesh and revealed himself in this world.

PASSAGE: John 6:40 - "For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day."

PAUSE: Discovering God’s will for our life is sometimes overwhelming. Yet in one simple statement, Jesus said that the will of the Father is to believe in Christ for eternal life. Carefully notice the added promise of our resurrection!

PRAYER: Father, You not only promise us eternal life, but You guarantee that we will be resurrected with You on the last day! In this promise, I rejoice!
