2 Cor 5:6-9

Jun 1, 2023    Pastor Josh Lewis

We feel the most at home where we feel the most comfortable. In one sense, Paul describes us "at home" in our present bodies here on Earth, and in another sense when we are "at home" with the Lord. In the first sense we feel at home here because this is all we know--this is what we can look around and see, feel, and touch. But he also explains that we are really only home when we are with the Lord. Our good courage comes from walking by faith in the confident assurance of our future forever home with the Lord.

PRAY: Lord Jesus, we await the day that we will truly be home with you. Forgive us for sometimes clinging too tightly to what we see around us, as if this is all there is to life. Help us to see that to truly live is to walk with you, and we look forward to dwelling with you forever. Amen.
