Revelation 7:9

This passage offers such a beautiful picture of Heaven! Many times we imagine Heaven where everyone is the same -- we may even have a cartoonish idea of everyone sitting on a cloud, looking the same with wings and halos. But this vision that John writes about in Revelation shows us that there is a recognizable aspect to our unique identities that will remain in Heaven. We will live in perfect harmony with people from every nation, tribe, people and language. Rather than these things being stripped away and all made the same, they will all come together to create a perfect picture of the family of God. God will not only continue our unique identity but he will make it more beautiful than it was.

PRAY: Lord Jesus, we praise you, the Lamb on the throne who is our Shepherd. We give you praise for the creativity and uniqueness that you made in creation. We long for the day that we will worship you in harmony with your people from all over the world. You alone are worthy of our praise! Amen.
