Discipleship Walk TEAM Covenant

Thank you for your interest in serving on the Discipleship Walk team.  As you prayerfully consider this invitation, please review the guidelines and commitments below.  Our desire is to assemble a team ready for the task ahead of us and to make sure this is the right time for each member of the team to serve.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the leadership member that invited you. 
  
Team Member Guidelines 
  • Team Member has accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. 
  • Team Member has a consistent and growing walk with the Lord Jesus Christ and is actively participating in at least one Grow community (life group, Bible study, accountability group, one-on-one discipling, etc.) 
  • Team Member holds to The Chapel’s Essential Beliefs and is committed to the total ministry of The Chapel and its purposes.  Team Members serving in the roles of Lay Director, Spiritual Director, Assistant Lay Director, or Assistant Spiritual Director must be members of The Chapel. 
  • Team Member confirms that there are no problems in the following areas: 
  • No current habitual struggles or moral issues (alcohol or drug abuse, cohabitation, gossip, pornography, homosexuality, etc.) that would bring shame on the name of Jesus Christ or The Chapel 
  • No current significant marital struggles (infidelity, separation, divorce in process, etc.) 
  
Team Member Commitments 
  1. I will commit to living an intentional Christian lifestyle while accepting The Chapel’s leadership and doctrinal statements. 
  1. I will commit to learning and growing through my daily time with the Father and through other Christian ministries. 
  1. I will submit to the leadership of the Discipleship Walk ministry and the guidance of the Discipleship Walk Steering Committee as provided by the Steering Committee Representative. 
  1. I will commit to read the portions of the DW manual provided to me and to use it as intended to maintain the integrity of the Walk. 
  1. I will commit to attending all Team Building sessions and the entire Discipleship Walk weekend.
