Romans 12:15

I love roller coasters! The bigger, the faster, the better! If it doesn't loop upside down a few times, I might be a little disappointed. But that same experience that I find joyful and exhilarating can bring terror others that don't enjoy them. Life can be a roller coaster of emotions. There are so many times of great joy, but for some of us there are equally as many times of great sorrow. Sometimes we will find great joy in something, while at the same moment, another person is experiencing deep sadness. Scripture reminds us that we are all in this together! The joys of a roller coaster are so much better when we experience it with friends, and likewise if we're terrified of the ride, it can be so comforting to be surrounded by friends to go through it with us. Paul's reminder in Romans is to do life together. Find your community that you can rejoice together and also weep together. Life is better together!

PASSAGE: Romans 12:15 - "Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep."

PAUSE: Are there friends that you can laugh with or are there shoulders for you to cry on? We all need friends, brothers and sisters. Life is messy but supportive relationships bring calm to the storm and laughter to the soul.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank you for the people that you have placed in my life. Help me to trust them enough to share my joys and my sorrows.
