Hebrews 11:8

The question every Christ follower must regularly ask is: Am I truly living by faith? Meaning, do I actively trust in God and believe that He is at work in my life and that He is orchestrating the details of my life, good & bad, for the purpose of transforming me to be more like Christ in my character and my love? Meaning, do I humbly submit to God in prayer the choices that I am making in life and then obediently follow through with the choice or direction I believe He is leading me and that aligns best with His revealed purposes in His Word? Meaning, am I actively joining God in His kingdom building mission by stepping out in faith and serving and giving and witnessing and worshipping and loving others in the strength that He provides? Be clear about one thing, the faith journey will take us outside our comfort zone and into the true adventure of life with God!

PASSAGE: Hebrews 11:8 - "By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place that he was to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going."

PAUSE: It is by faith that we obey God. Obedience requires faith in God’s goodness and God’s plans. Failure to follow is ultimately a faith problem. Abraham obeyed God even when he did not know where he was going!

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, grant me the faith of Abraham that obeys you regardless of whether I understand where you are leading me or not!
