Purpose Statement of Seasoned Saints Senior Adult Ministry...

The Seasoned Saints Senior Adult Ministry of The Chapel has as its purpose to communicate and share God's love to those in the church family, and to those outside the church. The assumption behind The Seasoned Saints, it's groups, and the events sponsored by this ministry is that they exist for the purpose of serving, not being served; of giving not receiving.

In pursuit of this purpose the Seasoned Saints Senior Adult ministry emphasizes four ministry areas:

  • Evangelizing and assimilating unchurched senior adults.
  • Involving senior adults in meaningful ministry and service.
  • Facilitating the growth of senior adults toward Christian maturity and discipleship.
  • Providing fellowship opportunities for senior adults in their relationship with others.
